Choopie is a Tel Aviv-based music producer who has established his own niche in the worldwide electronic music scene.

His music defies over-simplistic genre classification.

Drawing influences from Progressive House, melodic Techno, Tech House and Techno, Choopie has created his own unique musical identity and grown his name as a top DJ / Producer worldwide. His productions and DJ sets are instantly recognizable through their unique hypnotic melodies and seductive grooves.

A self-confessed perfectionist, his work is his obsession. Each track is a testament to his fascination with the creative process.

Choopie discovered his lifetime passion for electronic music at a very early age. Thirty years later he created a massive legacy of musical accomplishment and ideas.This is a statement of his past achievements and a pointer towards his bright and stimulating musical future.

He has updated this progressive music classic with some of the genre's current stars in GMJ & Matter, Kamilo Sanclemente, Golan Zocher & Choopie and Dabeat, whose last release “Sayonara” reached the top 100 Beatport Progressive House chart on Mango Alley label top 3 Choopie also produces music in the direction of Middle Eastern Oriental music on Sabo's reputed label Sol Selectas and Sound Avenue reached Beatport Top 100 Organic House Downtempo chart

What’s Going on Now?

Choopie, Sharkieboy and Golan Zocher are back in the Agnosia studio, hard at work creating new and uplifting music for release later this year. With their powerful and inventive sounds, these tracks possess the extraordinary capacity to both inspire intimate dance floors and also to fire huge arenas with explosive energy and drive.

Musical influences

“I was first fascinated by the way that Pink Floyd integrated electronics into their music, but then Kraftwerk, especially their album Computer World, was both my defining moment and my greatest inspiration,Pink Floyd’s pioneering innovation in electronic and avant guard music, in terms of both sound and dance, captivated me and I have followed their work ever since.Kraftwerk will always be hailed as the forerunners of electronic music and their influence on my life in music has been immeasurable. ”

Global Underground ushered in the era of the superstar DJ, and perhaps no one was more suitable to mix the debut album than Tony de Vit. In 1996, Tony's technical mixing ability was second to none, and he was the DJ defining the hard house sound.Tony could have picked any city to be the host of the first Global Underground, but he chose Tel Aviv. DJ Choopie and Jez of Agnosia Records were resident DJs at Allenby 58, the host club to GU001 in Tel Aviv. This episode documents how they brought the UK underground sound, and the global underground community around the world, to Allenby 58 for one night with Tony de Vit on the first Global Underground.
